Wa-hoo-wa

Those who double Tyler Hansbrough will do well. Virginia started to do this about halfway through the first half, and Carolina never adjusted. They kept feeding Hansbrough the ball about 5-6 ft from the hoop against the baseline, Virginia sprang the trap, and he had a lot of trouble with it. As he tired in the second half and tried to fight through it, it led to several blocks by none other than Jason Cain. Neither team looked like world beaters - Virginia had consecutive 35 second violations at the end of the first half, and Carolina couldn't hit the broadside of the barn from three. But the Cavs strung together one nice run in the second half, and then did just enough down the stretch to hang on. Bonus points go to Laurynas Mikalauskas, who had several big offensive boards and really helped to wear out Hansbrough. Also of note - 17 fgas for Singletary... first time he's had that many in a Virginia win. Recaps here, here, here, and here.
